Who is Dr. Tim Gilmore?

Do you live in the South and possibly on haunted land? Whether you answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to that question. Dr. Tim Gilmore probably will have something to say about that. “Tim Gilmore writes about the haunted South and about the way every place is haunted psychologically and historically.”

Along with writing about the haunted old South, Dr. Tim Gilmore is also a professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Of the courses he teaches, the focus is writing and literature. The type of classes that would suit very well a person who is passionate about writing.

In Dr. Gilmore’s case, writing is definitely a passion. He has writing is primarily of the South,  and the supernatural behind it.  The search to write about the South and what has been a part of it has led to his latest project.

Currently Dr. Gilmore and his colleagues are working on the inaugural JaxbyJax literary event. This event is created with the purpose of highlighting and showcasing local talent in the literary field. The type of event that anyone from the tried and trued, all the way to novice writers, looking for an outlet to voice their talents. The event will be held in Downtown Jacksonville on November 8, 2014.

  1. OMFG, dude I love your writing. You made my heart skip many beats.
    I grew up in west Jacksonville, one street over from Transylvania on manor drive, in the 60’s… I could tell you stories..
    One is about a haunted mansion mostly on the corner of wesconett and timaquanna.
    I can’t wait to get your book.
